Delightful Picture Books to Read Aloud in Winter
Winter is the perfect time to read picture books with your kids. When everyone is stuck inside anyway, why not cuddle up on the sofa with a mug of hot chocolate and read a fun story?!
As a homeschool mom of 10 with fifteen years of experience, I tend to be picky about choosing the very best books for our home library. I prefer living books that leave lasting impressions on the reader.
I used to think picture books were only for young children, but I have learned that even older kids enjoy a well-written picture book. We like to read our favorite stories over and over again until they become to us like good friends.
You should be able to find all of these books at your local library, but if not, I suggest slowly investing in your home library. That’s what we have done and it has proven to be a wonderful investment. These classics have paid for themselves again and again!
