All About Homeschooling

I’m passionate about homeschooling because it allows us to provide a personalized and engaging learning experience for our children. It aligns with our belief in hands-on, practical education and lets us weave our home life into our daily learning. I love the flexibility it offers and the opportunity it creates for us to grow closer as a family, sharing and exploring the world together.

It’s not as hard as you think it is!

Don’t doubt yourself. Homeschooling is merely an extension of parenting. You are the expert on your child. The two of you are learning and growing together. No one knows your child like you do. No one has a personal, life-long investment in your child like you have. There is no one who will work harder or search more diligently than you will to find the resources your child needs for their struggles AND their gifts. So move forward; you can do this!

What do you need help with?

Beginning your homeschooling journey can seem daunting, but with careful planning, it becomes manageable and exciting. Start by setting clear educational goals for your children, considering their interests, learning styles, and any special needs.

Reading

Are you overwhelmed at the thought of teaching your child to read? You have already taught your child to do a host of other important skills as a parent: sleeping through the night, potty-training, talking. Reading is the next step.

Finding the Right Educational Materials

How can we teach our kids to communicate effectively? You can find many excellent writing curriculums out there, but I have also found that there are simple writing habits that can be used regularly to cover a lot of ground. These are the writing practices I use and love in our homeschool.
